It’s already October and that can only mean one thing… spooky season is right around the corner! Halloween is a fantastic excuse to find some fun things to do with the kids. Of course the little monsters love to go trick or treating on the 31st, but why not give them a few more treats in the days leading up to Halloween?

We love to get crafty – and what better way to do that than making your very own Halloween masks? It’s low-cost and really helps your kids’ imaginations to run wild – so it’s a win-win! All you need are a few sheets of paper (cut into oval shapes), some string, and either coloured pencils, felt-tip pens or some paint. Don’t forget to cut holes for the eyes & mouth into the paper before hand!
Another brilliant idea is to make some Halloween cookies. Simply buy some plain biscuits/cookies & coloured icing from your local supermarket (you may even find a ready made kit if you’re lucky). Or, if you’re up for a challenge you can make the biscuits yourself! The result is some fun, creative family time with a delicious treat at the end.
