Hampshire swimming group wins toddler and baby award

Organisers of a swimming group in Hampshire are amazed at the nominations they received for a national award.
Water Babies in Farnborough has won the Best National Baby and Toddler Development Activity accolade at the What's On 4 2010 awards for the third year, recognised for their contribution to exercise for kids, reports Get Hampshire.
Course leader Louise Crisford told the newspaper: "I'm delighted that Water Babies has been recognised in this way, especially as we're the only swimming company to have won four national awards in the last three years - reflecting the fact that we're absolutely passionate about what we do."
Earlier this week in an article for the Windsor Star, Jill Barker gave some parents advice about finding an appropriate beach for children to swim in.
She urged against attempting to find the perfect beach, suggesting that clean, clear water with a gradual transition from shallow to deep water is all that is necessary.
